Curious what this is all about? Let’s dive right in:
  • Manage end-to-end customs operations for import and export activities at our factory in Poland.
  • Ensure full compliance with EU Customs Code (UCC) and Polish customs regulations, minimizing clearance delays.
  • Handle HS code classification and accurate preparation of import/export documentation, including specific requirements for energy storage system lithium batteries.
  • Coordinate and resolve customs inspection issues, liaising with Polish customs authorities and freight forwarders.
  • Oversee customs compliance management, conduct self-audits, and interpret the latest customs policies.
  • Manage customs-related systems like AES and ERP, and contribute to optimizing import/export logistics solutions.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and finance departments, providing professional customs support. Assist in optimizing import and export logistics solutions for energy storage systems (e.g., selection of sea or land transport modes, hazardous goods packaging compliance), reducing customs and logistics costs.
  • Responsible for organizing, filing, and safekeeping customs-related documents and certificates to meet customs supervision and internal company management requirements. Cooperate with customs and internal audits or inspections.

Your profile

All right, all right, that was intriguing, wasn't it? Now, in order to fit into this role and be happy for a long time, your ideal background should look a lot like this:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in International Trade, Logistics Management, Customs Management, Law, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on customs operations experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in new energy or lithium battery industries.
  • Proficiency in Polish and EU customs procedures, tariff policies, and hazardous goods transport regulations (ADR, IMDG).
  • Strong language skills: Polish and Chinese (proficient for effective communication with local authorities and HQ), and English at least B2 level.
  • Proficiency in Polish customs e-declaration systems, AES/ICS2, and ERP systems (SAP preferred), along with MS Office.
  • Mastery of Excel, Word, and other office software to independently complete document preparation, data entry, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with HS code classification for energy storage system products and lithium battery hazardous goods declaration requirements (MSDS, UN38.3).
