(Senior) Legal Counsel – Software & Energy Products

Your mission

We have an exciting opportunity for you as our next (Senior) Legal Counsel in Germany (Munich preferred). Curious about what this role entails? Let’s dive in:
  • Provide legal advice on software development, licensing, SaaS, data protection, IP, and energy sector regulations in Germany and the EU.
  • Ensure compliance with German and EU laws, including energy law, cybersecurity, IT security, and competition law; represent the company before authorities when needed.
  • Identify legal risks and propose pragmatic mitigation strategies for products, partnerships, and business initiatives.
  • Support corporate governance, liaise with external advisors, and maintain statutory company records.
  • Develop internal policies, standard documentation, and deliver compliance training for staff.
Your profile
That sounded great, right? Now, to make sure you feel confident and happy in this role, it would be fantastic if you bring the following background:
  • Fully qualified to practice law in Germany (Volljurist/in or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in commercial, IT/software, or energy law, ideally in a tech-driven or regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of German and EU laws relevant to software and energy sectors, including GDPR.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex contracts.
  • German and English C1 level (spoken and written).
  • Independent, pragmatic approach with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proactive attitude.
