Your mission
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Data Protection Officer (DPO) to lead and oversee our data protection strategy and implementation across our European operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all data protection and privacy matters across the European region.
  • Ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate data privacy risks.
  • Advise on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and monitor their performance.
  • Liaise with supervisory authorities and data subjects on data protection issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data privacy compliance across all business units.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support cross-border data transfer mechanisms and ensure compliance with international data protection standards.
  • Oversee corporate data protection strategy and compliance frameworks.
  • Develop long-term risk mitigation and privacy impact strategies.
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on data privacy trends.
  • Lead discussions with regulators and industry bodies on evolving laws.
  • Drive adoption of privacy-enhancing technologies and automation.
  • Optimize data governance processes through advanced analytics.
Your profile
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GDPR, European data protection laws and cross-border data transfer regulations, with a strong preference for candidates who are fluent in Chinese to support our global operations.
Your ideal profile looks more or less like this:
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Law, IT, or Data Governance.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Data Protection Officer or in a similar role within Europe
  • In-depth knowledge of GDPR and other European data protection laws.
  • Proven experience in managing data protection compliance in multinational organizations.
  • Strong understanding of data security practices and technologies.
     Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Chinese (Mandarin) B2/C1 is highly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or ISO 27001 are a plus
  • Deep expertise in global privacy regulations and cybersecurity practices.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
